The Gallery at Widgeon Cove was started in 1988 by Condon and Georgeann Kuhl with the primary purpose of showing our creative work. In 2013 The Gallery celebrated its 25th anniversary with an exhibition of work covering the 25 years to the present.
Condon is an artist who works with jewelry, metalsmithing, mixed media and sculpture.
Georgeann is an artist working as a painter in various media, including watercolor, monotypes, and paintings made of handmade paper..
In 1987 we moved to Maine from Des Moines, Iowa where Condon was chair of the Art Department at Drake University, and Georgeann was Director of Education and Assistant Director of the Des Moines Art Center.
For the first 10 years after opening the Gallery, we also participated in shows in Maine and around the country such a s The American Craft Council, and The Maine Craft Association. Since 2000, we have concentrated our efforts on our Gallery at Widgeon Cove.
During the summer, we try to have at least one focused exhibition of our work with an opening reception for the event. We will announce these shows along with other Gallery events on the Gallery page of this web site
I purchased some lovely earrings from you at the Maine Crafts Guild show years ago and have, sadly, lost one of them. I’m wondering if it would be possible for you to create a duplicate for me. They are or were simple gold hoops…..I could send you a picture or bring it up to you.
Thank you for any help or advice you may be able to give me.
Hopefully yours,
Karen Oldfield
